Custom Vinyl Heat Transfer Printing for Tee-Shirts and More

Vinyl heat transfer printing is a popular and effective method for creating customized T-shirts and other fabric items.  Compared to silkscreen printing, it's a more recent innovation-- one that has exploded in popularity in the past couple of decades.  

To print something with the vinyl heat transfer technique, we use a machine to cut out your design from pieces of colored vinyl.  Next, we use a heat press to permanently transfer vinyl in each color in your design onto the item being printed.  The transfer process uses both heat and pressure to adhere the vinyl pieces to the fabric.  

A quality vinyl heat-transferred tee-shirt will be long-lasting and professional-looking.  Heat-transfer printing has a very sharp, crisp-edged look that is most effective with simple shapes and graphics.  Text, numbers, and basic shapes come out looking crisp, clean, and professional.  On the other hand, vinyl isn't a good choice for printing photos or anything that needs a gradient or smooth blend of color.  (For photos and fine detail, screen printing is better.  Fortunately, Print King offers both types of printing, so we have you covered!)  

Vinyl heat transfers are more cost effective for smaller orders.  This method of printing requires little set-up time, compared to silkscreen printing, so it usually works out to be cheaper than silkscreening, if you only need a small run.
